Bought this mainly for commuting and the padded strap actually makes a difference when it's loaded down with my laptop and charger. The exterior zip pocket fits my phone and keys perfectly, and the removable stability strap kept it from swinging around on my bike.

Took this on a 6-mile hike and the removable stability strap kept it from swinging around my chest the whole time. The tablet sleeve fits my iPad mini perfectly, though I mostly used the exterior zip pocket for my phone and trail mix.

The padded shoulder strap actually stays comfortable even when I load it up with a water bottle and snacks. I clip the removable stability strap across my chest when biking and it barely moves. The little exterior zip pocket is perfect for my keys and phone.
