I wore these straight out of the bag for a weekend of yard work and they never once felt stiff. The enzyme wash really does soften the organic cotton canvas, though the double knees still feel like they'll outlast everything else in my closet.

The canvas on these is thick in the best way, and the enzyme wash means they didn't need any break-in time. I've worn them for a week of yard work and the triple-needle stitching hasn't budged.
